Welcome to The Lost Weekend! I'm Janet - an artist based just outside of Toronto. 


I started TLW in 2016, during a time in my life where I romanticized addiction. I named it after a title John Lennon famously used to describe a period in his life that was marked by lots of debauchery and immoral behaviour, but creatively he was prolific. I was attracted to this concept of intense creativity with questionable behaviour, where he reached personal lows & artistic highs.


After getting sober in 2023, The Lost Weekend means something different to me now. It's about creating art through healing from the difficulties we face as humans, rather than using them as fuel. 


I try to share my art as a way to promote transformation and personal freedom. I want everyone to know that there's nothing they can do that can't be redeemed, and it's never too late to start building the life of your dreams. Even if it doesn't look the way you once thought it would, it can turn out better than you ever imagined.


The Lost Weekend is my hideout; it’s somewhere that embraces reinvention and cultivates beauty in imperfection through a relentless pursuit of truth. It’s a place for my jewellery, art, collections, writing, and whatever else I make that brings me back when I'm feeling lost.
