Chivalry Necklace
Chivalry Necklace
This Tudor style swords dates back to the 50’s and was an adornment meant to be sewn into a jacket’s lapel. The handles and tips are hand painted and sealed with resin with their blade’s aged patina left alone; this noble pendants hangs from an 18” gold filled chain that has a 2" extender (note that this chain is different that the one modelled and is shown in the last picture).
The sword is used to symbolize justice and chivalry; Merriam-Webster’s dictionary defines chivalry as:
Knighthood; a military dignity, founded on the service of soldiers on horseback, called knights; a service formerly deemed more honorable than service in infantry
Urban Dictionary describes it as:
Being courteous and polite without fucking whining or asking for anything in return
